Don't agree.  Some cops (at least here) do care.  They are just overloaded
with too much work, and red tape, and too little pay, and too much nonsense.

I think if you have reason to believe that your stuff is somewhere, and if
its important enough to get it, at least try.  Dealers are also people.
Different values, true, which most of us don't agree with.

I treated a guy whose mom went into the worst part of Johannesburg to
retrieve her TV which her son stole during the day; She was armed with a
.38, and she got the dealer to carry it for her while she screamed "DRUG
DEALER" all the way down five stories, while his buddies kept themselves out
of sight.  Not to be recommended, but her enthusiasm paid off.  She got her
stuff back.
