I have to agree whole heartedly with Patrick about the weightlifting...  
That's what I do.  Plus the Lord has helped more than anything.  If 
weightlifting isn't your thing.  Try intense running, cycling, swimming.  
Anything that will cause your body to release endorphins.  Even sitting in a 
dry heat sauna and then running outside and jumping into a cool dip pool will 
release endorphins.
